Sunday’s sermon was all about the ways that God can relate to us and even enters into our pain with us through the work of Jesus. We don’t have an unconcerned, distant, aloof god. Rather, we have a God who cares deeply about and even joins us in our pain, suffering, and heartache.
Just as Jesus wept for his friend Lazarus in John 11, we too are invited to enter deeply into the fullness that life offers, grief and all. As the holidays approach, let's take stock of what feelings are there and allow God to enter into it with us.
