Guest speaker Jeremy Jernigan unpacked Luke 8:40-56, where Jesus heals a woman with a flow of blood and raises a synagogue leader’s daughter from the dead. The main point: Jesus focuses on people one at a time. Jesus, rather than rushing from one healing to the next, makes time for each individual who seeks him out.
We are encouraged to emulate Jesus in traveling at the speed of love, taking life slowly enough that we can be open to interruptions and opportunities to really see and love the people God places in our path.
