How do we respond when we find ourselves in life’s storms? In Luke 8:22-25, the disciples found themselves in a (literal) storm with Jesus. But Luke’s story is less about real wind and waves and more about things in life that feel messy, turbulent, and out of control. For the disciples, peace came through proximity to Jesus. Indeed, while life’s storms are inevitable, God’s peace is available to us at all times as we turn our attention not to the waves but to Jesus.
