Jesus Turn the Ordinary Extraordinary // John 2: 1-11

Pastor Will Hopkins recounted the chaotic and miraculous scene that was the wedding at Cana in John 2. The story is the first of John’s “signs” hinting at Jesus’ identity as Messiah, Lord, and Son of God in John.

While the miracle was certainly amazing on the surface level, Will unpacked several observations that brought it to a more personal level. Ultimately, as was the point of John’s signs, the miracle pointed to who Jesus is, and the disciples noticed. After Jesus turns ordinary water into extraordinary wine, John concludes the account by noting “his disciples believed in him.” They put their faith in Jesus, and Will’s poignant question for all of us still resonates: Will you put your faith in Jesus? Jesus is waiting to turn your ordinary into something extraordinary!
