Blessed Are Those Who Mourn // Matthew 5:4// Doug Glynn // 11.02.25

This week was our special Novembering Service, a time to pause and gather as a church family to remember those we have loved and lost. The Apostle Paul calls us to be people who ‘rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn’ (Romans 12:15).  As we move into the holiday season, those waves of grief and loss can often hit a little harder. But we don’t have to be afraid of walking through them. Jesus reminds us that the ones who are blessed are the ones who grieve, not the ones who hide from grief. So this week, let’s lean into vulnerability as we uncover the areas of life that feel painful. Perhaps this can be an important waypoint in our journey of healing.
