Found to be Storytellers // Luke: Jesus For Everyone // Luke 15, Acts 26:4-18// Sonya Yee // 10.12.25

This week Sonya connected Jesus' parables of the lost in Luke 15 with the personal testimony of the Apostle Paul in Acts 26 and her own testimony, pointing out that the message of "Jesus for everyone" is activated when the "found" boldly share their stories. Using Paul's testimony to King Herod Agrippa she went through a pathway from being lost to found and then to becoming a storyteller of God’s love for everyone. This path began through Admitting You're Lost (recognizing that sin is hurtful, like kicking against the "goads"); Realizing Jesus is Alive (moving beyond head knowledge to a personal reality); Understanding Jesus Loves You (accepting the tender, fatherly love that silences voices of inadequacy); and finally, Going and Tell Others (living out the mission in Acts 26:18 to turn people from darkness to light). We can move from being a hearer of the Word to being a doer, sharing one's "found" story so that others might find their way home.
