In the final message of the "Discovering Identity" series, Doug explores the question, "Who did God uniquely design you to be?" Biblical identity emphasizes that believers have a dual identity: a shared identity in Christ that is true of all believers, and a unique individual identity (Eph 2:10). This identity is discovered in community and for the sake of others (Gen 12:2-3), requiring us to lean on others and seek God's calling. Using Gideon (Judges 6) as an example, Doug shows how we struggle between our God-given identity and the false identities we learn. But this isn’t just an Old Testament type of ‘story,’ God is still in the business of calling people out of fear and brokenness, into their true, God-given identity.
