Jesus teaches us to pray, "deliver us from the evil one" (Matthew 6). But in our modern-day, enlightened world, do people still believe in the Devil? And even if such a being exists, why would we even pay attention to him?
Join us as we look at the next line in the Lord's Prayer, and the reality of evil in our story, as well as some practical ways to deal with evil when it arises.
A very basic strategy to combat the evil one is this:
1) Submit to God: We come in the name and authority of Jesus
2) We use truth in scripture to counter the lies of the evil one
3) We command (in Jesus name) Satan to 'get out'
