FACING YOUR FEARS

“Facing Your Fear of Inadequacy”

Pastor Duane Cross | 11.16.14

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” - 2 Corinthians 12:9 I.

I need to admit my inadequacy and affirm God’s sufficiency.

“Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me... For when I am weak, then I am strong.” - 2 Corinthians 12:8-10

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” - Matthew 5:3 II.

I need to abide in Christ and allow His power to flow through me.

“Remain in me and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” - John 15:4-5

Practically speaking, I must do 2 things:

HANG OUT & HAND OVER

“Greater is he who is in me than he who is in the world. ” - I John 4:4

III. I need to accept God’s amazing grace.

I was seized by the power of a great affection.
