FACING YOUR FEARS

“Facing Your Fear of Financial Disaster”

Pastor Duane Cross | 11.02.14

“Don’t worry and say, ‘What will we eat?’ or “What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’. The people who don’t know God keep trying to get these things, and your Father in heaven knows you need them. The thing you should want most is God’s kingdom and doing what God wants. Then all these other things you need will be given to you.” - Matthew 6:31-33

“God is the One who gives seed to the farmer and bread for food. He will give you all the seed you need and make it grow so there will be a great harvest from your goodness. He will make you rich in every way so that you can always give freely...” - 2 Corinthians 9:10-11

“And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:19

FIVE STEPS TO FINANCIAL FREEDOM

#1: I must ask God for his help.

“Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened.” - Matthew 7:7

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” - Philippians 4:6

#2: I must learn to enjoy what I already have.

“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have.” - Hebrews 13:5

#3: I must practice giving in faith.

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” - 2 Corinthians 9:6-8

“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.” - Proverbs 3:9-10

#4: I must maintain my integrity.

“The Lord abhors dishonest scales, but accurate weights are his delight.” - Proverbs 11:1 #5: I must trust God completely with my life.
